Have you decided to buy i(Phone|Pad|etc.) or you’ve been “cajoled” to buy it?

Hi,

I’ve found this really interesting link to the Apple’s employee manual: gizmodo: Apples employee training manual.

They have interesting part about which words to avoid (my favourite is “situation” for plain BUG or “stops responding” for CRASH)

Did your computer crash? No, it “stops responding.” Never say crash.
What if some Apple software has a bug? Wrong: there’s an “issue,” “condition,” or simply “situation.”
You don’t “eliminate” a problem—you “reduce” it.
No Apple products are hot—at most they’re “warm.”

They have answer for everything with 3F’s

Customer: This Mac is just too expensive.
Genius: I can see how you’d feel this way. I felt the price was a little high, but I found it’s a real value because of all the built-in software and capabilities.

Right, you haven’t bought expensive device, the price was just for the perks you got. No, jail breaking is not needed, you’ve got all software built in:)

Customer: I want an iPad, but I need a mouse. I can’t deal with all this touching.
Genius: I may know how you feel. I’m mouse fan and felt as if I’d never get used to it but I found it becomes very easy with a little practice.

And they know what are your emotions just by looking at your posture, gestures etc.

Suspicion and secretiveness
Sideways glance
Rubbing nose

So next time you will visit their store beware that when you really need to rub your nose, don’t, as you will look suspicious:)

Best regards
